Job Responsibilities
- Develop custom responsive WordPress websites, from simple informational sites to complex e-commerce builds and multi-sites using clean, logical, well-documented and reusable code.
- Help shape project development decisions using best practices and accessibility standards.
- Manage our client support system providing timely resolution to reported problems with existing websites or assigning support tickets to other team members when applicable.
- Manage a WP Engine hosting environment that supports nearly 100 existing WordPress sites, including regular plugin updates and backups.
- Establish and guide website architecture, project priorities, timelines, scopes, and costs.
- Work in a local environment and push to staging/live as needed.
- Test plugin/theme compatibility before and after PHP / server upgrades.
- Interact and collaborate with others to solve problems.
- Work unsupervised when needed and remain self-motivated.
- Communicate well with coworkers and clients.
- Maintain strong attention to detail.
Qualifications/Skills
- Proven dedication to WordPress CMS development: Creation of custom post types, Bootstrap/Foundation framework, standard plugin understanding (Elementor, Visual Composer/WP Bakery, Gravity Forms, Advanced Custom Fields, Yoast, RevSlider)
- Knowledge of programming languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and experience with file transfer protocol (FTP) — Bonus points for experience with or willingness to learn Timber / Twig
- Some knowledge of/experience with DNS management, SMTP configuration
- Strong understanding of design fundamentals, including command of color theory, image composition, and typography
- Applicable software: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, ClickUp
- Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects

- Design, and/or digital marketing experience a plus
